Infinity 2.0.0 Patch Notes

Infinity 2.0.0 is a major update to Infinity, bringing Infinity from publish 9 to way beyond publish 10. It includes thousands of bug fixes and enhanced gameplay, plus a new engine!

 

  • Improved Combat Queue

    • The combat queue is now more accurate in terms of clearing skills and queuing skills. It may feel strange at first, but should lead to more accurate combat management.
  • New Engine

    • The new engine provides many benefits to increase stability and performance. One of the major upgrades is that objects load individually rather than all at once, improving load times and reducing lag.
  • GCW

    • The GCW Crackdown is operational. You may be scanned for contraband by Imperial forces.
  • Jedi

    • You will not receive visibility by using Force abilities near group members, regardless of faction
  • Accuracy calcuations have changed so creatures and NPCs may hit players more often than before

    • We will be monitoring and tweaking this as needed
  • AI Revamp

    • AI has been completely revamped. You will notice that AI agents move around a lot more, some can heal themselves, and they call for help
    • Some mobs will now be immune to different states like intimidate, or immune do DOTs which should make things interesting
  • Pets

    • Existing pets of all types will have almost zero damage due to the AI changes and will need to be replaced
      • Faction pets can be traded in at the appropriate recruiter for replacement
      • BE Pets will need to be re-made
      • Tamed pets will need to be replaced with babies in the wild. Admins will help replace rare pets like Great Plains Stalker
    • When naming pets, there will be a system message if name is rejected by name filter
  • Missions

    • Bounty hunter missions still expire in 4 hours. Normal missions will no longer expire.
    • If you abort (cancel) a faction destroy mission, the NPCs will be destroyed with the lair object.
  • FRS

    • FRS will work almost identically as before with a couple of exceptions
      • FRS maintenance has been increased to 1000 FRS XP per rank per week, so 1000 for Rank 1, 11000 for Rank 11
        • If you do not have 1500 visility or don’t login during the week, the maintenance XP is 5x as usual
      • FRS maintenance XP will be deducted immediately when the maintenance job runs, and not when player logs in
      • If you have a character on the opposing team, you will not receive FRS XP on either character
  • Harvester Droids

    • Harvester droids will need to have auto-harvest turn on, but all the settings now stick
  • Bio Engineer

    • BE crafting has been revamped
    • DNA samples are named based on the creature and sample quality
  • DOTs

    • Weapon DOTs
      • Weapon DOTs will no longer be unresistable and will roll against resist buffs, tape, and food
      • Weapon DOTs will only stack one type of DOT per pool, regardless of weapon used
    • DOT attacks like fire DOTs will count toward loot rights
  • “Armor Break”

    • Resists on AI agents no longer drop based on wounds and battle fatigue, but rather on how much damage their armor mitigates relative to total HAM (health, action, and mind combined)
      • DOT damage does not count toward mitigated damage
      • You may find that resists don’t drop for quite a while or at all
  • Player Cities

    • Player city names must now begin with a capital letter from A to Z
  • moveFurniture command

    • To avoid naming conflicts, the command will now accept the following arguments
      • up or upward
      • down or downward
      • forward or ahead
      • back or backward
    • If the command can’t figure out the direction due to a naming conflict, it will display the name of the targeted object
  • Bounty hunter

    • The intimidate state chance for Fast Blast has been increased to 100. This only applies to bounty mission targets.
  • Demolition Expert

    • Demolition exports will get a PVP TEF when placing bombs
  • Big Game Hunter

    • World Boss Line reset due to bugs with xp calculations
  • Axkva Min

    • Spawn changed – she no longer spawns until you summon her from a Rune in her chamber
    • Axkva Min’s Lair has been added as an instanced dungeon for groups (or solo). Tokens give additional instructions
  • Geonosian Cave

    • The door will now change regularly. The original guides work but there is an additional NPC – Go see!
    • POI Added to map
  • Kashyyyk

    • Kashyyyk has been built form the ground-up is a work in progress.
    • A group of contest winners are given early access. Full access to all players will take place in the Spring (2024)
  • New POI – Dread Ridge

    • An empty bunker on Lok has been revamped – check the POI list
  • Varactyls

    • As noted, pets in 2.0 are different. For the first few weeks the Varactyl compound on Rori is only spawning babies so that players can replace their Varactyls. And I’m not going to lie, the place is adorable.
  • Faction Pets

    • Legacy faction pets are broken due to new pet calculations
    • Players can trade their old faction pets for new ones.
    • Do not destroy your pets before trading in! If you destroy your pets, we will not give you new pets. This is a one-time conversion, any faction pet in your datapad will be replaced with a token you can use to get a new one. You must be aligned with either faction but if you have a mix of reb/imp pets they will all get swapped for tokens. Tokens cannot be traded or sold. You can only do this one time.
  • New Starter Armor

    • New Players are now given an armor token that when used will give a proper set of armor for their species. Humanoids will get padded, Wookiees get Kashyyyk Ceremonial and Ithorians get Ithorian Defender. The armor will last about a buff session and is intended to get you started.
  • All installations (factories and harvesters) will stop operating with 2.0.0 upgrade and must be restarted. Resources in harvesters may be minimal.

  • Mask scent can now be toggled off

  • Hand sampling rates have been reduced by 10% (after hotfix)

  • Softlogging will store all active pets

  • Smuggler

    • Slicing now has a skill modifier

    • All smugglers must use /regrantskills one-time to pick up the new skillmod

  • Misc

    • Food and drink filling will be wiped upon cloning for both PVP and PVE deaths
    • All PVP broadcasts will go to the new PVP Broadcasts chat channel
    • Bank tips to characters on the same account now have no fee
    • Items will now show current condition / max condition and the percentage
    • Resources on vendors will list credits per unit (cpu)
