Yes, SWG Infinity is completely free to play. There are no subscriptions, no pay-to-win mechanics, and no gameplay advantages for purchase. We are funded entirely by voluntary donations from our community.

You do not need a retail copy of Star Wars Galaxies. Our Infinity Launcher handles all the game files you need to get started. Simply download the launcher and follow the setup instructions.

SWG Infinity runs on the Pre-CU (Pre-Combat Upgrade) version of the game. Jump to Lightspeed (JTL) is in active development — the ground-game content (pilot professions, ship crafting) is live now, and space combat zones are approximately 75% complete with a full launch targeted for Fall 2026.

SWG Infinity has 800+ active weekly players, making it the largest Pre-CU SWG server. Our population continues to grow with regular content updates and community events.

Absolutely. SWG Infinity has been running for over 8 years with excellent uptime. We run on dedicated hardware with professional hosting, automated backups, and a dedicated team monitoring server health around the clock.

No. Players are only allowed one account per person on SWG Infinity. Each account can have up to 7 characters with 3 online at once. If more than one person is playing from the same IP Address a Multiple Account Request must be submitted.

Account sharing is not permitted on SWG Infinity. Each account must be used by a single person. Sharing credentials puts your account at risk and can result in disciplinary action for both parties.

Yes! We run 10+ events per month including GM-hosted events, PvP tournaments, city invasions of mobs, community gatherings, and seasonal celebrations. Check our Events page and Discord for the latest schedule.

SWG Infinity supports both open-world PvP through the Galactic Civil War (GCW) faction system, organized PvP tournaments, PvP in dedicated Battlegrounds and organized in the Arenas. Go Overt for your faction to engage in PvP, or stay Covert if you prefer PvE content. The choice is yours.

Most content in SWG Infinity can be enjoyed solo. Many professions are fully viable for solo play, and you can progress through quests, crafting, and exploration on your own. However, some endgame dungeons and group content are designed for parties. Our community is friendly and always welcoming new group members.
