About the Death Watch Bunker

Hidden beneath the forest floor on Endor at coordinates 4500, 2700, the Death Watch Bunker is the fortified base of the Death Watch — a splinter faction of Mandalorian warriors who rejected the pacifist path of their kin and remained loyal to their militant traditions. The bunker is heavily fortified, crawling with Death Watch soldiers, Mandalorian commanders, and the remnants of their war machine.

Rated Medium-Hard, the Death Watch Bunker is best known for two things: the coveted Mandalorian Armor that drops from its inhabitants, and the famous jetpack quest chain — one of the most iconic item quests in all of Star Wars Galaxies. A full clear of the bunker takes two to three hours and demands an organised group. Come prepared.

Location: Endor (4500, 2700) • Difficulty: Medium-Hard • Recommended Level: 100–Master • Group Size: 5–8 players

Getting to Endor

Endor is not directly accessible from all planets. To reach the bunker:

1

Book a Shuttle to Endor

Not all starports offer direct Endor flights. The most reliable routes run from Coronet (Corellia) and Theed (Naboo) starports. Check the ticket terminal for the current schedule — shuttles run on a timed cycle.

2

Arrive at Endor Starport

The Endor starport drops you at the main outpost area. You will need a mount or speeder for the journey to the bunker. The terrain between the starport and the Death Watch Bunker is thick with Endor wildlife — Ewoks, Rancors, and worse. Keep moving.

3

Locate the Bunker Entrance

The bunker entrance is marked by a large blast door built into a hillside. A waypoint at 4500, 2700 will get you there. Death Watch sentries patrol the exterior — engage only if you intend to enter, as they will call reinforcements.

Two Ways In

The Death Watch Bunker offers two distinct entry questlines depending on your faction alignment. Both lead to the same final area, but the journey and quest rewards differ.

Imperial Path

Work alongside Mandalorian remnants who have pledged loyalty to the Empire. Your missions focus on securing Death Watch assets and purging the rebellious faction elements. Rewards include Imperial faction commendations and access to a unique Imperial-aligned Mandalorian armor variant. Start by speaking to the Imperial Mandalorian liaison at the Endor outpost.

Rebel Path

Work against the Death Watch, sabotaging their operations and freeing their prisoners. The Rebel path involves more stealth objectives early on and culminates in a direct assault on the inner command structure. Rewards include Rebel commendations and a unique Rebel-aligned armor variant. Contact the Rebel operative hiding near the forest edge outside the outpost.

Same End Goal

Regardless of which path you take, both questlines converge at the inner sanctum for the final confrontation with Haakon Profus. The jetpack quest components and Mandalorian armor drops are available on both paths. You do not need to complete both faction questlines to access all content.

The Jetpack Quest

One of the most famous item quests in Star Wars Galaxies. Follow this chain carefully — components are not tradeable mid-quest.

1

Begin the Jetpack Investigation

Speak to a specific NPC contact near the bunker entrance who hints at prototype Mandalorian propulsion technology hidden inside. This starts the jetpack quest sub-chain, separate from the main faction questline but run concurrently.

2

Collect Jetpack Components

Four key components must be looted from specific named Death Watch officers inside the bunker: the Thruster Assembly, Fuel Regulator, Maneuvering Vanes, and Control Interface. Each drops from a different named mob spread across the bunker levels. Named mob respawn timers mean you may need to wait if others have cleared them recently.

3

Source a Mandalorian Armorsmith

Components alone are not enough. You must find a player Armorsmith who has mastered the Mandalorian Armorsmith schematic (obtained separately through Mandalorian lore quests). This is a player-driven step — check the trade channel or the SWG Infinity Discord for smiths offering jetpack crafting services.

4

Craft the Jetpack

Deliver all four components to the Armorsmith along with the required additional crafting materials (high-quality Phrik and Duralumin alloys). The smith crafts the Mandalorian Jetpack and hands it to you. This is a bound item — it cannot be traded after crafting.

5

Equip and Enjoy

The Mandalorian Jetpack is a fully functional cosmetic item that equips in your back slot. It provides a visible jetpack appearance and a short-burst vertical boost ability. It is one of the most recognisable cosmetic items in the game — wearing it in Mos Eisley will earn comments.

Mandalorian Armor

Mandalorian armor is among the most visually striking and highly sought-after armor sets in SWG. The full set is crafted by an Armorsmith using components that drop throughout the Death Watch Bunker from various named mobs and officers.

The complete Mandalorian Battle Armor set covers all major slots: helmet, chest, bracers, bicep plates, leggings, and boots. Each piece requires specific looted components paired with high-tier crafting materials. The set offers strong protection statistics and the instantly recognisable T-visor aesthetic.

Unlike the jetpack, individual Mandalorian armor pieces can be crafted by an Armorsmith and sold on the player market, meaning you do not strictly need to run the bunker yourself to acquire the set — though running it yourself will always be cheaper and more satisfying.

Haakon Profus & Lieutenants

The final chamber of the Death Watch Bunker houses Haakon Profus, the Death Watch commander, flanked by two Mandalorian lieutenants. This is a multi-target encounter that requires coordination.

Strategy: The lieutenants must be pulled and engaged before Haakon activates — do not blunder into the room and aggro all three simultaneously. Tank the first lieutenant at the door, kill it quickly, then repeat for the second. By the time both are down, Haakon will have risen from his command chair and entered the fight. He hits hard, applies a heavy armour debuff on the tank, and has a ranged missile volley that hits the entire group.

Keep the group spread during his missile phase. Have a Combat Medic ready on continuous heals for the tank during Haakon’s second phase (below 50% health) when he increases attack speed significantly. Recommended: 6+ players for a clean kill.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. You only need to complete one faction path to access the full dungeon and all content including the jetpack quest. Running both paths on the same character would require switching faction alignment, which carries significant consequences. Most players pick one and stick with it. Both paths access the same final room and the same boss.

The Mandalorian Jetpack is primarily a cosmetic item that provides a visible back-slot appearance. On SWG Infinity it also grants a short vertical boost ability, but it does not provide sustained flight. Think of it as the best-looking back item in the game with a bonus flourish ability. The quest is worth doing for the prestige alone.

Yes. Mandalorian armor components can drop for anyone in the group and the crafted pieces can be sold on the player market. You can purchase individual pieces or a full set from player vendors without ever entering the bunker. However, prices vary significantly with demand, and farming your own components is considerably cheaper if you have a group willing to run the dungeon.

A full clear from entrance to Haakon Profus typically takes 2 to 3 hours with a competent group of 6–8. First-timers should budget 3–4 hours. The bunker is large and has multiple levels. If you are specifically farming jetpack components, you can target only the named mob spawns and exit without a full clear, cutting the time to 45–90 minutes depending on respawn timers.
